Experience Stereolab's 2004 album Margerine Eclipse on vinyl. This 2025 reissue features remastered audio from the original 1/2" tapes, overseen by Tim Gane
Margerine Eclipse is the eighth studio album by British-French avant-pop band Stereolab, originally released in 2004. This 2025 reissue is presented as a 2LP vinyl set, featuring remastered audio from the original 1/2" tapes, overseen by Tim Gane and cut by Bo Kondren at Calyx Mastering.
The album is notable for being Stereolab's first full-length recording without guitarist/vocalist Mary Hansen, who tragically passed away in 2002. Despite this loss, the band continued their signature blend of vintage keyboards, airy vocals, and lounge-meets-electronica pop sensibilities.
